Hand-made Postcards

I made these in pairs. I used napkin over cardboard as the base layer for "Sky High" and "Tattered" (on the left). Different collage started earlier but finished on the same day became "Water or Sky?" and "The Sun Sets", on the right.

Each a postcards about 4.25 x 6 inches. "Tattered" is longer than 6 inches and requires extra postage to be mailed from the USA.

Stylish Birds in Hats

I did a 6:6 swap on ATCs ForAll for "Stylish Birds with Hats!!!" so 8 of these went there.

I could not part with this one when I did it in 2013:
April Bird in Hat #2 of 6

Two mostly watercolor - collaged hats (Bird in Lake #1 & 2):
Bird In Lake #1
Bird in Lake #2

These two were started in 2013 but finished for this swap:

UPC ATCs

Buildings with bar code ATCs:

                                                                                   UPC Theatre #1
Barcode Eyes ATCs:
I started out using black and white photos of "fashion" women.

Freaky Eye #1
Freaky Eye #2
Freaky Eye #2 actually has a security envelope patterned eye but a UPC mouth. She looked much too freaky with the UPC as her entire mouth, strange enough but more believable with the UPC as only the upper half of what we see inside her mouth.)

I had a hard time finding as many of those photos as I wanted, so I branched out.

"Dipped in data"                                         "Laser Eye"                                            "Stylish"

Traded: I traded this set (below) on ATCsforAll.com in the "recycled bar codes #2" swap: "Gritty Shiny, Gritty Shiny" with rarely used (by me) sequins, the only abstract I did, "Purple" the first UPC eyes that I made whose purple square 'blush' started outwith more of a shimmery look and "UPC house".

Is It Time?

4 from 1 PC - Spring colors

This was easier to work with than the (dark for me) red one earlier in the month.

One collage masterboard:

Into five postcards:

This fifth postcard is rectangular with a rectangular cutout in the bottom left corner. It looks less than rectangular because of the photo's angle. The writing on the right is faded and collaged upside down so not readable.

(Missing photo of them arranged in position they were on the masterboard before it was cut.)

4 from 1 (red collage masterboard) Postcards

IN PROGRESS:

This is for a "make a masterboard and then cut up for 4 postcards" swap.

I did not just cut it into quarters when I was done, but adjusted for the a more pleasing start. You can see that the piece in the bottom right corner of each photo is the same.

Now that they are cut, I finish each postcard, preferably with a bit of customization for my partners. Among the things my partners like: bright colors & animals, flowers, vintage & nature,  and "weird" things. (4/10/2015)

These are laid out about how they were cut from the master board I made - but upside down of the 4 pictured (above) without the "personalization" (as of 4/13/2015).

And as individual postcards:

I added another transparent layer on the top - either gel or matte mod-podge.
