Seeking more joy: ATC "little houses"
I was not satisfied with my attempts to follow a "vintage" little houses theme. Feeling more successful but not huge joy with these little houses.
Four shaped ATCs; "Abstract bookpage: Winter Lights", "Boy's house?", "Escher-inspired Looking in, Looking out", and "Bird house?". The first three are bookpage houses. I did not realize the odd angles and perspectives of "looking in, looking out" until after it was finished so it was NOT at all inspired by Escher.
I expect I will come back to "bookpage little house" again future. Lots of potential. Not a scrap of book page on this one. It is easier to see on the dark background.

collage postcards
untitled |
College Thank you card (from 5/16 or before) |
Modifying this fabric one - not content with it yet. (It might not make it through mail machines. There is an uneven edge.)
and one more. This is postcard size but I am pretty sure that it would not survive the mail machines.
Finished 17 May 2015 |

Little houses - vintage
2.5 x 3.5 "little houses" with a vintage theme. I by far prefer the one on the bottom left.
In progress - before rubber stamp added.
The one on the left might not be redeemable, the one on the right remains my favorite.
Rubber stamp and some coloring added:

Background pages
Mix of digital collage and collage. (now what?)
Update: Some of the piece on the left was used for some "ATC Little houses" later in the month.

HDHP Faces
2.5 x 3.5 100% hand-drawn hand painted. First one from last(?) year, Picasso-inspired:
It is interesting how much my fingers itch to add a bit of collage background.
I was respond to a hand-drawn or hand-painted (HDHP) "funny faces" challenge which explains in part the big lips. I think they are unrealistic but I don't see them as "funny" except perhaps the one on orange which does look peculiar!

Towel Day PC series
Postcards, less than 5.25" x less than 4.25", collage with tissue and bookpages, watercolor crayon:
Above: "Already in Tune" With the Universe. There is no question that she has her towel with her. Yes, I do know that *most* babblefish are yellow.
On the right, "Are U Towel ready?"
Postcard, 6 " by less than 4.25", "With A Towel?":
anyone who can "hitch the length and bredth of the galaxy, rough it, slum it, struggle against terrible odds, win through and still know where" their bowtie is and have it look this good-- ze is clearly a lifeform to be reckoned with.

That's SEW cool
Challenge: Crate a postcard with some sewing.
Things got a little easier once I reminded myself that it was "with some sewing" and did not need to be 100% fabric nor glue-free!

Hand-made Postcards
I made these in pairs. I used napkin over cardboard as the base layer for "Sky High" and "Tattered" (on the left). Different collage started earlier but finished on the same day became "Water or Sky?" and "The Sun Sets", on the right.
Each a postcards about 4.25 x 6 inches. "Tattered" is longer than 6 inches and requires extra postage to be mailed from the USA.
