Text and Collage, Part II

Seahorse ATCs

I worked on a 2 partner Seahorse ATC swap on swap-bot.com and and "3 for 3" Seahorse (hand-drawn or hand painted) swap on ATCsforAll.com (and I include a host card when I do 3:3 swaps) in August. That's probably 6-8 ATCs being sent out; some have already gone. Now to decide the rest.

I was inspired by a very curlique seahorse that I saw somewhere. If I remember correctly, the scale was very different, I wanted a longer thinner seahorse.  It proved hard to translate my idea to the 3.5 inch high ATC format. The purple seahorse here and the first orange ATC are from 2013 but older and undated.

"Shiny" may have been one of the most fun of this set to create. That seahorse is collaged onto a watercolor pencil test.

Mouse/Rat ATC Swap

"Chedda-head empty stadium" was started for a "blind drawn faces" swap - but my son told me that I had drawn a mouse instead of an ear.  My partner for the "Mouse or Rat" swap likes cheese so this is one of the 2 ATCs she received.  (I might not have a picture of the second. It was a purple mouse.)

The premise was to draw a face with your eyes closed - "as best you could" and then to finish up the ATc as you might "any" HDHP ATC.

Picasso inspired - cubist

Once again, there was a swap topic on ATCsFroAll and on swap-bot. This was "Picasso-inspired". Although any of his periods was allowed, all of this are from his cubist period. I did about 8 - more to follow.

Tree ATC - August 2013

I sent two trees off to my partner for a "Tree ATC" swap -- and angeled an old swap that she had listed as outstanding on her profile.  The "Scavenger ATC" had to include at least two of a list that included: food tin label, old greeting card, and ribbon. (I can only remember the things that I used.) I like the way the colors ended up going together.
